Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity, when St. Gregory the Illuminator converted the Arsacid king Tiradites III and in 301 Christianity was first proclaimed as the official religion. Visit the holy places, pilgrimage sites, religious, cultural and architectural monuments. The turbulent history of Armenia was a nonstop struggle for Christianity, full of sacrifices and sorrow.

Day 1:
Arrival in Yerevan; met and assisted at the airport.

Day 2:
City Tour of Yerevan and Echmiadzin; explore Yerevan, walk in its market squares and parks; visit museums and galleries. In the afternoon drive to Echmiadzin, spiritual center and the seat of the Catholicos of all Armenians.

Day 3:
From Yerevan to Goris; visit Khor Virap and Noravank monasteries; enjoy impressive views of the vast plain and magnificent Mount Ararat.

Day 4:
Goris and surroundings; visit the village Khndzoresk with grottoes used by the ancient humans as a dwell. Explore Tatev Monastery, spiritual and intellectual center of the medieval Armenia.

Day 5:
From Goris to Sevan via picturesque Selim Pass; visit Noraduz, "the forest of Khachkars" - cross stones.

Day 6:
Sevan - Diljan; leisure morning on the Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world; visit to Sevanavank monastery.

Day 7:
From Dilijan to Yerevan; enjoy short city tour of Dilijan; en route to Yerevan visit Goshavank monastery.

Day 8:
Yerevan & its surroundings; visit Garni Pagan Temple & Geghard Monastery, carved in a rocky hill.

Day 9:
Departure; transfer to the airport.
