From Khevi region to Khevsureti via picturesque mountain passes
This tour involves traveling through beautiful landscapes of Caucasus Mountains. The trekking path winds from picturesque Juta valley of Khevi region to Chaukhi mountain range, proceed to pristine waters of Abudelauri Lakes, and continues across the Roshka valley. The whole area with rocky peaks, glaciers, and huge volcanic boulders is a classic example of historical geology. Finally, the journey ends in the Khevsureti region, unique with its fortified villages, costumes, and traditions.

Day 1:
Arrival in Tbilisi; met and assisted at the airport.

Day 2:
Tbilisi – Stepantsminda; in order to see the high peaks, roaring rivers and mountain lifestyle of Georgia’s northern borderlands we will travel to Stepantsminda vía Mtskheta (UNESCO site).

Day 3:
Stepantsminda – Juta – Chaukhi; visit Gergety Trinity church and drive from Stpantsminda to Juta, via remote villages. Trek to Chaukhi mountain range. Overnight in camp. (10 km: elevation 520 m up and down)

Day 4:
Chaukhi – Abudelauri Lakes; trek to Abudelauri Lakes via Chaukhi pass (3338 m). Overnight in camp. (18 km: elevation 1370 m up and 2020 m down)

Day 5:
Abudelauri Lakes – Roshka - Shatili; morning trek to Roshka village. Drive to Shatili medieval village-fortification. (5 km: elevation 150 m up and 500 m down)

Day 6:
Shatili – Mutso - Shatili; trek to explore Mutso fortified village. (25 km: elevation 480 m up and down)

Day 7:
Shatili – Ananuri - Tbilisi; drive to Tbilisi via Datvisjvari pass (2667 m). En route visit Ananuri architectural complex.

Day 8:
Half day Tbilisi Sightseeing tour; evening free to rest and relax.

Day 9:
Departure; transfer to the airport.
